In my opinion, observation, and likewise; so-called "volunteer" experience ... The State of Tennessee had to sadden Dolly at the very end of most day's reflection. Proud of it no doubt, but just as likely, with some silence dogood notions and concern at the plight of everyday people. Because Dolly, I wager ... knew what was going on ... and then worked in her margins to do better, as well as, to help offer up 'more better' for others ... while both off, and on, her musical stage and national show business platform for women. Some men ... but only if you played guitar ... so she could sing along :)
It had to be one solitary heartbreak away from ... to stand watch ... each and every day ... to watch as politician after politician dug dirt out of that same big bad bunny hole ... that she had, just as likely, spent her entire lifetime ... trying to fill back in ... if not, to forever close it off ... from it harming future generations. Even more sadly now ... that hole has gotten, conservatively, bigger than ever.
But Dolly, being Dolly ... early on ... saw the writing on the wall ... read it ... and fully understood ... most of ... what it meant ?!
Her, Dolly, clearly was a very, very busy person. I imagine it to be so. With a lot of oversight areas, places of responsibility. Contracts and such, along with all those obligations, that go with it, etc. If not, many subjects to cover first, or beforehand ... then came the time for her charity of knowledge and of hope ... her key to unlock it all in Tennessee; books & reading.
On behalf of those, unknownst to me; yesterday, today, and tomorrow, ... I wish say thank you Ms. Dolly Parton (one of a kind, if not, the one & only) ... I will truly miss you. Both music and just by presence, or having been here with us for eighty years ... [ R.I.P. ] ... alongside all of those many wild mountain flowers. Yours are my favorite.
