Standing outside the structure of a man made house of worship, Jesus, at least a prophet said so by even Islam, talked of a faith or belief in being free to ... believe or not. A grave threat even to this day. Democracy has likewise carried that same notion of freedom, and tried to protect it, for going on 250 years.
Broken down it is the concept of a sanctuary. A place of prayer, protection, recovery, or at least rest. For the wicked and especially for the weary. None not with standing. Today I watched a news report where an Eagle lay not one but two eggs. Unusual, but rare, was the headline. The old girl, minding a twin of sorts, fussing about her nest, tiding around the eggs, did so on what appeared to me to be ... unsteady legs. Not unlike a Mother with new child, heaven forbid twins. But minded them, while pushing toward success in her mission ... and then to a hopeful or full recovery. Afterwards. Another reason for Mother's Day I suppose.
Which brings me to Genesis ... based on what I'm feeling today ... Adam took the first bite of that apple ... and then lied to God about it. So rather than cast one out, the duo hit the road bare naked. Not unlike an evicted renter or a short-termed home owner of today.
In the slogan-hat USA that is.
So in that vain ... here's how I think Jesus fed the masses. He went to all the ladies manning the food kitchen of bread and fishes. And asked, how many ways, or times, can you divide what we have? When a count had been made, or as in the miracle of math plus division, thus adding multiplication, all those in need and hungry were fed first. While the more than or many abstained from eating. Including Jesus the host. And most in the kitchen. And the fisherman who tolled to provide or forwent this particular time. Watched ... and smiled ... while saying a prayer of blessing and thanks. A miracle of sorts in its self. We see similar happenstance in the U.S. every single day. That which obviously goes unnoticed by the counter Aaron's of today.
